Hello guys! I’m excited to be a part of the Meet Your Next Book Boyfriend Tour. This is the line up with the other blogs that participate and talk about their favorite book boyfriends! We also have a 15$ Amazon Gift Card Giveaway for you! You’ll find it in the end of the blog post!
Now let me speak about my choice of book boyfriend that I’m dedicating this post today. My top book boyfriend, one of my first book boyfriends is Flynn Hendrick from the duology Reclaiming the Sand by Meredith A. Walters.
There was no coming back from loving
Flynn is the purest, most innocent, cinnamon roll character you’ll ever meet. He is definitely a beta hero and not one of the broody alpha heroes. He will make your heart skirt, he will make you love him, even if you try to resist his charm. Even if you won’t love the book or the heroine , you cannot not love him. And that’s why he is one of the first book boyfriends that I definitely will never not love and he has stayed in my heart ever since meeting him. Also, the quotes I’m including speak volumes of his amazing personality, so how can you not love him?!
“Because making Ellie smile is better than seeing her cry.”
“I remember everything about you.
Even the stuff I wish I could forget”
A few things about the books. We have bully romance, but in this case the girl is the bully and the hero is the victim. The hero has autism. The heroine has her own issues. Years later and they meet again. And that’s all I’m going to say. There’s friendship, but also hatred. It’s a book that tackles many tropes. Friends to lovers. Enemies to lovers. Friends to enemies to lovers. Second chance. Bully romance. It’s not a light book, but the most important lessons in life, I got them from deep, emotional and books that made me feel out of my comfort zone. And this is certainly one of those.
I’m including the synopsis of the first book and the links of my reviews. I hope you’ll give these books a chance and you’ll get to fall in love with Flynn too. But remember that HE’S MINE. I called dibs eons ago 😉
Bully and victim.
Tormenter and tormented.
Villain and hero.
Ellie McCallum was a bully. No connection to anyone or anything. A sad and lonely existence for a young woman who had come to expect nothing more for herself. Her only happiness coming from making others miserable.
Particularly Freaky Flynn.
Flynn Hendrick lived a life completely disconnected even as he struggled to become something more than that boy with Asperger’s. He was taunted and teased, bearing the brunt of systematic and calculated cruelty, ultimately culminating in a catastrophic turn of events that brought Ellie and Flynn’s worlds crashing down.
But then Flynn and Ellie grew up.
And moved on.
Until years later when their paths unexpectedly cross again and the bully and the freak are face to face once more.
When labels come to define you, finding yourself feels impossible. Particularly for two people disconnected from the world who inexplicably find a connection in each other.
And out of the wreckage of their tragic beginnings, an unlikely love story unfolds.
But a painful past doesn’t always want to let go. And old wounds are never truly healed…and sometimes the further you try to run from yourself the closer you come to who you really are.
